Here at the Hammer and Nigel show we like to inform you of the biggest stories of the day. We give you our opinions on local and national politics, big courtroom cases, sports and of course, our signature booze news. However, today we are here to investigate something that will surely earn us a Marconi award: Did New York Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers pick his nose on the sidelines this weekend?

In the words of Jerry Seinfeld… ” I AM NOT AN ANIMAL”

NFL fans were going crazy online after the Jets/Steelers game on Sunday night. No, the conversations were not about the game itself, but about a clip of QB Aaron Rodgers on the sidelines seemingly picking his nose then eating it.

You know his friend Pat McAfee couldn’t let this go unnoticed. McAfee asked Rodgers on his show if he was really digging for treasure and storing it or not. Even Rodgers could admit it looked bad, but swears it wasn’t true.

“It actually kind of looks like it. I’ve actually never eaten my boogers, that’s one thing I’m very proud of. It’s a tough look to try and defend, because that video, it’s a little incriminating.”

He even admitted “…actually in the moment I was thinking, ‘Man, I hope the camera isn’t on me right now.”

Rodgers said he does use smelling salts in the game to keep focused, so we can only assume that’s what he was doing.

Hammer and Nigel say they aren’t buying it.

“I don’t buy it at all. In the words of Ron Burgundy, ‘I don’t believe you.'”

Next time, maybe someone could just get the guy a tissue.
