Anderson Police: Sibling Altercation Ends in a Fatal Stabbing

ANDERSON, Ind. — A man was fatally stabbed in Anderson Tuesday and police believe the issue may have been a family matter.

Police were called to East 2nd Street Tuesday on report of a stabbing. Officers found a man who had been stabbed, and they quickly secured the scene and sent the man to the hospital. He was transferred to Indianapolis where he later passed away.

Another man is in custody, says Public Information Officer Caleb McKnight.

Investigators believe the suspect and victim were siblings and the stabbing began as an altercation.

Their names are being withheld for now and the county prosecutor’s office is working to determine charges.
