Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a cocky media member eat crow live on tv!

A Los Angeles news anchor had just finished a story where he insisted firefighters were NOT running out of water while battling the wildfires around the city when they cut to a field reporter who immediately contradicted him.

Melvin Robert with FOX11 Los Angeles, was seemingly trying to defend the Democratic leadership in California after an interview with Rick Caruso, a former mayoral candidate. Caruso told the station that firefighters were running out of resources including water and was holding city leaders accountable. Robert closed the segment with the following clarification in the name of (what he perceives as) ‘misinformation.’

“Despite what you heard from Caruso, no firefighters have told us that they are running out of water.”

Following that exact statement, the show cuts to a field reporter in Pacific Palisades. The reporter right off the bat, unknowingly, rebuts her co-workers claim.

“Well firefighters have told me they have no water on this block…”

SNL in their prime couldn’t have timed out this delicious moment better.

“You can’t make this stuff up. It’s unbelievable, yet totally believable!”  – Hammer
