If you weren’t convinced yet, this will convince you that TRUMP IS BACK.

President Trump had no problem calling out Maine’s Gov. Janet Mills at a National Governors Association session for not complying with a new executive order.

At Friday’s meeting held at The White House, Trump was discussing his recent executive order banning trans athletes from playing women’s sports. Several Democrats, including Maine’s governor, has voiced they will not assent to Trump’s new policy.

The President was sure to make an example out of Gov. Mills by calling her out at the podium.

Trump: “Is Maine here? The governor of Maine? Are you not going to comply with it?”

Mills replied from her table, “I’m going to comply with state and federal law.”

Trump was quick to remind her, “We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funding at all if you don’t. And by the way, your population ‒ even though it’s somewhat liberal, although I did very well there ‒ your population doesn’t want men playing in women’s sports.”

Mills fired back, “We’re going to follow the law, sir. We’ll see you in court.”

To which Trump said that would be an easy fight, bookending with “Enjoy your life after, governor, because I don’t think you’ll be an elected official afterwards.”

Trump’s February 5th “keeping men out of women’s sports” order has directed the Department of Education to enforce the new federal law adopting the rule of “clearly specifying and clarifying that women’s sports are reserved for women.”

The Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights has launched an investigation into Maine’s school systems.

Gov. Mills issued a statement since the exchange with the president, “the state of Maine will not be intimidated by the President’s threats.”
