It’s officially March, which means it’s officially one of the best times of the year! It’s time for 2025’s Hammer and Nigel Madness tournament.

Each year, Hammer and Nigel create the ultimate “March Madness” tournament. We’ve seen a Biden Madness tournament, where we pitted the best/worst quotes from the former president against each other to claim an ultimate ‘cringe-worthy’ winner. We’ve had COVID Madness, where we lined up the worst moments during the pandemic. This year, we are making it musical!

Welcome to Hammer and Nigel Records Madness!

Hammer and Nigel Records has produced hundreds of parody hits through the years. We have not only made an official playlist, but a bracket where you can make your own predictions on which record is the ultimate single!

Our first round took place Monday, we’re we asked you to choose between the first match-up:

#10 Seed: Summer of Covid-19.

A Bryan Adams inspired song about the wonderful new world of Covid-19, first produced in 2020.

vs.

#7 Seed: China Covid Test

Another parody honoring the insanity that was the pandemic. This classic memorialized the way China was swabbing for COVID tests.

After the votes were totaled, SUMMER OF COVID-19 advanced.

If you missed out on voting, we have a brand-new match up for Tuesday. Today’s competition is inspired by celebrities getting caught doing not so PG things…

#11 Seed: DUI’s

We honored the time Bruce Springsteen was arrested for ‘drunk’ driving in 2020 at Sandy Hook, New Jersey. He was caught taking a shot of tequila in a closed area. The charges were later dropped, and so was this sick song!

vs

#6 Seed: Strokin’ in the Zoom Room

Another winner of 2020, when Jeffrey Toobin was suspended by The New Yorker and went on leave from CNN after he ‘pleasured’ himself during a Zoom call with other members of the firm.

Now it’s time for you to decide which song is moving onto the next round!

Get your votes in on Facebook or Twitter, before 3pm 3/12/25.

Tune in every weekday at 4:35pm for the latest in Hammer and Nigel Records Madness!
