We’ve all misplaced our phone, but at what extreme would you go to find it? This young man was not only rescued from Mount Fuji but got lost AGAIN when going back for his phone.

The 27 year-old man was first rescued by helicopter on Tuesday while on the Fujinomiya trail. The college student said he was unable to descend the mountain after he lost his ‘crampons,’ which are spikes that attach to the bottom of shoes for traction.

A few days later, the climber decided to return to the exact location to retrieve his belongings, which included his phone. He had to once again be rescued after suffering from altitude sickness.

Local police have reiterated that they discourage anyone from climbing the mountain during the off-season. Official climbing season is made known to start between early July through early September.

The young man was from China but studying university in Japan. If one thing is proven in this story, it’s that all young men, no matter where they are from are still… young men.
