Tyrese Haliburton Speaks on Friday
Tyrese Haliburton Reacts to Father Not Being Able to Attend Pacer Games

INDIANAPOLIS–Indiana Pacer guard Tyrese Haliburton reacted on Friday to the news that his father will not be attending Pacer games on the road or at home for the foreseeable future.
Haliburton addressed reporters by first saying this would be the last time he would discuss it. The Pacers made the announcement about Tyrese’s father, John, on Thursday afternoon. John Haliburton got into a confrontation with Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo after the Pacers eliminated the Bucks from the playoffs Tuesday night.
“But I understand the decision made by our organization and the league. I’ve spoken about it and said my father was in the wrong, but at the end of the day, it’s my dad,” said Tyrese.
Tyrese said he won’t ridicule him and that he will always “love him dearly.”
“This is just one thing and we’re not defined by one thing. He’ll be fine and he will watch from home,” said Tyrese.
Tyrese, with a smile on his face, also said he wouldn’t be surprised if he still got text messages from his Dad at halftime of the upcoming games.
The Pacers take on the #1 seed Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Game 1 is Sunday.
