NWS: Rain Possible Monday in Indiana, Then Drier Conditions Move In

STATEWIDE–Damp conditions are expected to start the week across Indiana, but temperatures will warm up.
“We’re not going to be quite as windy and cool like what we saw on Sunday, but we are expecting some scattered showers Monday afternoon and evening,” said Mike Ryan, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.
Once this system passes through, Ryan says temperatures will get back to being more seasonable for the month of May.
“There is a low chance for an isolated shower on Thursday focused mainly on the southern part of the state. Otherwise, we’re facing dry conditions,” said Ryan.
He says there’s no threat of severe weather for the foreseeable future either.
“That’s a nice little break. It’s been an active spring so far. We’re getting a little break from the stormy side of things, so we’ll take that,” said Ryan.
Ryan says severe weather may return, however, later in the month.
