Houthis Are Not Cave Dwellers
Houthis are not cave dwellers. The Iranian proxy was able to get a missile through Israel’s Iron Dome and hit Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. How?
So, the Houthis have technology, they have capability, and even though the United States has been sending missiles towards them as they hide in Yemen, engaged in this proxy war, they being the proxy for Iran against Saudi Arabia in this Yemeni civil war. They’re still hitting Israel. They’re still going for American targets. And just yesterday, they hit Ben Gurion Airport. That is the airport in Tel Aviv. That’s where every flight comes in and comes out of. They were able to get missiles past the Iron Dome. If anything, proving to all those people who say, well, Israel’s Iron Dome, they’re fine. No, it’s not fine. You can’t just fight a defensive fight. One must be proactive. Major Mike Lyons joins me right now. Retired United States Army, West Point graduate, the Houthis are not cave dwellers. These are sophisticated people that very clearly have sophisticated hardware. How are they able to hit in Tel Aviv from Yemen?
Now, Tony, this is a large escalation and this is Iran. This is all Iran’s fingerprints on this. They they’re even claiming it was a hypersonic missile. They have no capacity or capability to manufacture any of these things. And it actually wasn’t the Iron Dome system because the Iron Dome system is more rockets. This got through air defense platforms that are designed to protect. Israel, their arrow system as well. So, this is a major failure on Israelis air defenses. The fact that they were able to reach from Yemen and all the way into to that airport. It’s one thing to, you know, to launch a missile to another thing to make it go to where you want it to go. And this is again, 100% Iran fingerprints on this, which is why you’re going to see more pressure come from the United States when it comes to Iran. But this is the last game in town for the Iranians as well. All of their other proxy forces are depleted and they’re fundamentally not on the battlefield anymore. So, this is it. This is more or less Iran’s last chance to try to show Israel that it has some capability, and this was a very big blow from Israel’s air defenses.
