AUDIO: Indiana Fever Discuss Progress in Week 2 of Training Camp

INDIANAPOLIS–The Indiana Fever are in their second week of training camp and they feel good about the progress they’ve made so far.
They are 2-0 in the preseason with one preseason matchup left before the regular season begins. Fever shooting guard Sophie Cunningham says they are looking at ways to improve upon their wins over the Brazil National team (108-44) and the Washington Mystics (79-74 in overtime).
“I just think for us it’s all about cleaning up defensively. We’ve got to be better in that aspect, especially in rebounding. Offensively, we’re going to get to know each a lot more as we go on,” said Cunningham at practice Tuesday.
Fever Head Coach Stephanie White says one of the biggest keys is staying accountable to one another.
“We gotta continue to build trust as we learn from each other as well. These are high character women. The most important thing is that we choose the ‘we’ over the ‘me’ every day,” said White.
Fever guard Caitlin Clark scored 16 points against Brazil after missing the first preseason game.
Indiana’s final preseason game is May 10 against the Atlanta Dream. They open their regular season May 17 against the Chicago Sky.
