What is going on in Lockerbie Square Joe Hogsett? A dozen reports of slashed tires, and shattered windows on North College Avenue that are being underreported. Why?
So, what is going on in Lockerbie Square? The story is about vandalism and Lockerbie Square. IMPD saying that they’ve received a dozen reports of slashed tires, and shattered windows, North College Ave, Lockerbie Square. There is a field from some residents that’s reported by WISH-TV.
That the vandalism incidents are underreported. Why would they be under reported? And are we saying underreported or are we saying that they’re not being responded to? Like maybe other areas would have things responded to that. I mean that there’s a difference between the two. They hit like 20 or 30 cars between um on College Ave. into Lockerbie Square, according to one resident. That’s, uh, that that is a lot. And, and so I, I mean, I’m not here to engage a blame game. This is a curiosity. Do police not respond to the area? I mean, I’m, I’m not, that is not accusatory. I’m just, it’s a curiosity. Because that seems to be the argument that there’s no response that takes place to the area. I don’t know if that’s true or not. And while that’s happening, we had the story on WIBC.com and that a homeless man was stabbed in the back of the head near the circle downtown Indianapolis.
These are not the stories you want if you’re going to be hosting an Eastern Conference finals. And these are not the stories that you want even if you’re not going to be hosting the Eastern Conference finals. So, just as a reminder, things are not great. When it comes to crime in Indianapolis, in Marion County, it’s just a problem. And the law and order guy doesn’t have a plan. We we should be clear about this. Clear that he has no plan. He never had a plan. That was a lie. That things might be getting better overall. Gosh, I hope so. I want that for the city. But I am curious about whether or not there’s an issue with responses to Lockerbie Square. Very much so. I’d love to answer that question.
