Indy Housing Agency Launches Action Plan

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Housing Agency is launching a major overhaul, unveiling a 12-month action plan to rebuild trust and improve services.
CEO Yvonda Bean is spearheading this initiative, focusing on upgrading technology like computers and phone systems, which are now working again after two years. Residents can also expect to see tangible improvement that would result in better utilization of housing vouchers and family services.
The plan in total focuses on 5 areas that desperately need improvement:
- Operations
- Finances
- People
- Priorities
- Safety and security
The agency is also strategically selling some properties to focus on better management across its portfolio including seven multi-family properties with assurance that current residents will not be affected. This plan really highlights their fresh focus on making housing services better for Indianapolis families.
